Practice Your Reading at the New Carlisle Public Library This Summer
We are looking for students in grades K-4 who would like to practice their reading this summer, with the help and support of a teen reading buddy.
We are also looking for teens in grades 5-12 who would like to volunteer as Reading Buddies, working with younger children.
Teen volunteers and their younger buddies meet on Tuesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. to practice reading together.
We will meet on these Tuesdays: June 6, 13, 20, 27 and July 11 & 18, 2017. Parents must remain in the Children's Library to supervise children under the age of ten.
Please pre-register for this program. Contact the Children's Library via email, readingisimportant@gmail.com or leave a voice mail, 937-845-3601, ext. 207.
Teens interested in volunteering as Reading Buddies should plan to attend a training session at the New Carlisle Public Library, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
