Join us at the library for a Children's Program during a Parenting Class by FYI (Family and Youth Initiatives) of New Carlisle!

Guiding Good Choices will cover topics like:

Importance of Family Meetings
Specific actions that promote healthy development
Strategies to build family connections

The economy may be struggling but the fraud business is booming.  Identity theft continues to be one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States.  Scam artists are using channels and technology that didn't even exist 15 years ago.  When your private information gets into the wrong hands, the consequences can be devastating.  During this workshop we will identify many precautions to protect yourself.

Patty Whitt spent three years in the Outer Banks working to save sea turtles. She'll bring stunning photos and talk about her first-hand experiences as a turtle rescuer and turtle whisperer!

Under the direction of Ms. Nancy Dyer, 4th and 5th graders will build a tin can robot pencil holder (this is a non-working robot) and a catapult made from tongue depressors!
