Join us at the library for a Children's Program during a Parenting Class by FYI (Family and Youth Initiatives) of New Carlisle!

Guiding Good Choices will cover topics like:

Importance of Family Meetings
Specific actions that promote healthy development
Strategies to build family connections

Music & Movement Storytime (We will meet June 7, 14, 21, 28 and July 5, 12, 19)
Enjoy stories, songs, movement & dancing, scarves, felt boards, finger plays, musical instruments, a simple art activity, and, sometimes, parachute play!  Best for children 3-6, but all are welcome.

Practice Your Reading at the New Carlisle Public Library This Summer

We are looking for students in grades K-4 who would like to practice their reading this summer, with the help and support of a teen reading buddy.

We are also looking for teens in grades 5-12 who would like to volunteer as Reading Buddies, working with younger children.

Teen volunteers and their younger buddies meet on Tuesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. to practice reading together.

Teen Program: Build a Fairy Garden (must pre-register, grades 5-12)

Make your own magical fairy garden!  This program is limited to 8 teens in grades 5-12.  While each teen is welcome to attend alone, they are also welcome to bring an adult relative to help with construction.  Pre-registration is required; registration opens Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
